Pastor Arrested Twice In One Week

Wisconsin: The Sheriff's department arrested a Sheboygan pastor for sexually assaulting a child just one day after he was released from jail for a different charge involving a different child.

27 year old Travis Gandy worked with children as a music pastor for five years at Praise Fellowship Church in Sheboygan. The criminal complaints said both of his alleged victims knew him through the church.

Gandy was arrested Monday night after the mother of a 15 year old boy told police Gandy sent her son inappropriate text messages. The boy told police Gandy also "made out" with him in the attic of the church. Gandy posted bail Tuesday afternoon, but was arrested Wednesday after another alleged victim came forward. This boy is 16 years old, and like the 15 year old, said Gandy sent naked photos of himself via cell phone. The 16 year old boy also told police Gandy performed a sex act on him in May.

Court Commissioner Rebecca Persick ordered Gandy held on a $10,000 bond despite pleas from his wife, who asked that Gandy be released so he can sign the paperwork needed for her and the couple's daughter to move away. "I'm a victim of this, too, and my daughter is a victim, and my unborn child is a victim," his wife told Persick. "We just want to start our lives over again. We're moving on Tuesday, but he needs to be able to sign over bank accounts and car titles to me."

  2. I went to this church for my entire life, up until 3 years ago when I became an atheist. I did sound engineering, so I got to work with Gandy a lot during church. This guy was pretty nice, and his marriage seemed great. I'm sure this is how most sexual predators appear.
