God Wants Gays Dead

Miss Beverly Hills 2010 Lauren Ashley is speaking out in support of traditional nuptials.

"The Bible says that marriage is between a man and a woman," Ms Ashley told Faux News. "In Leviticus it says: 'If man lies with mankind as he would lie with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death and their blood shall be upon them.' The Bible is pretty black and white. I feel like God himself created mankind and he loves everyone, and he has the best for everyone. If he says that having sex with someone of your same gender is going to bring death upon you, that's a pretty stern warning, and he knows more than we do about life."

Ms Ashley, 23, went on to say...

"I have a lot of friends that are gay, and ... I have a lot of friends who have different views, and we share our views together. There's no hate between me and anyone."

Legislator: Disabled Kids Are God's Punishment

Virginia — State Delegate Bob Marshall of Manassas says disabled children are God's punishment to women who have aborted their first pregnancy.

"The number of children who are born subsequent to a first abortion with handicaps has increased dramatically. Why? Because when you abort the first born of any, nature takes its vengeance on the subsequent children," said Marshall, a Republican. "In the Old Testament, the first born of every being, animal and man, was dedicated to the Lord. There's a special punishment Christians would suggest."

Crazy, yes, but just remember, this is the same guy who also said that:

*"We have no business passing this garbage out and making these co-eds chemical Love Canals for these frat house playboys in Virginia." (with regard to contraception)

*"It is as much a chain as ankle bracelets were to African-Americans in the 1860s in this state. It’s just invisible. But it is a chain of death that we’re not going to escape." (comparing the economic recovery package to slavery)

*"Sometimes incest is voluntary" (talking about abortion in the case of incest)

*"The woman becomes a sin-bearer of the crime, because the right of a child predominates over the embarrassment of the woman." (with regard to rape)

An Unwilling Lord

San Francisco: Raj Patel suddenly finds himself an unlikely object of worship, proclaimed the messiah Maitreya by followers of the New Age religious sect Share International.

“It is absurd to be put in this position, when I’m just some bloke,” Mr. Patel said.

People began to believe otherwise on Jan. 14 in London when Benjamin Creme, the leader of Share International, who is also known as the Master, proclaimed the arrival of Maitreya. About this time Mr. Patel was publicizing his new economics book, “The Value of Nothing” and he appeared on “The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central.

The Maitreya clues — his age (supposed to be born in 1972; Mr. Patel was), life experiences (supposed to have traveled from India to London in 1977; Mr. Patel was taken on a vacation there with his parents that year) race (supposed to be dark-skinned; Mr. Patel is Indian) and philosophies — all pointed to him. Some believe Maitreya will have a stutter. When Mr. Patel tripped over a few words when talking with Mr. Colbert, it was the final sign.
