Galileo Was Wrong, the Church Was Right

First Annual Catholic Conference on Geocentrism

"They Know It But They're Hiding It"
Galileo Was Wrong is a detailed and comprehensive treatment of the scientific evidence supporting Geocentrism, the academic belief that the Earth is immobile in the center of the universe. Garnering scientific information from physics, astrophysics, astronomy and other sciences, Galileo Was Wrong shows that the debate between Galileo and the Catholic Church was much more than a difference of opinion about the interpretation of Scripture.

Scientific evidence available to us within the last 100 years that was not available during Galileo's confrontation shows that the Church's position on the immobility of the Earth is not only scientifically supportable, but it is the most stable model of the universe and the one which best answers all the evidence we see in the cosmos.

Texas Board of Ed: Textbooks Are Anti-Christian

Texas: Texas' State Board of Education - following a long history of throwing itself into "culture war" issues - is set to vote Friday on a resolution calling on textbook publishers to limit what they print about Islam in world history books.

The resolution cites world history books no longer used in Texas schools that it says devoted more lines of text to Islamic beliefs and practices than Christian beliefs and practices.

Board member Pat Hardy, R-Fort Worth, suggested the issue may be moot because none of the books cited are still being used in Texas, having been replaced in 2003, and said they "might want to go back and get newer copies of the books."

Michael J. Pratt, 38, was ordered to serve five years to life in the Utah State Prison after previously pleading guilty to two counts of object rape, forcible sodomy and forcible sex abuse. The three first-degree felonies and one second-degree felony will be served concurrently.

The girl, now 18, told the Deseret News last year that she had fallen in love with Pratt as he groomed her and concocted elaborate plans for their future together. Yet Monday, she told him a strong voice: "Today I want to make it clear to you, I am no longer blinded by your craftiness, my eyes are wide open," she said. "I am no longer your puppet, your toy, your game."

Christine O’Donnell’s Morality Campaign

Christine O'Donnell, who has been endorsed by Sarah Palin, shocked the GOP establishment with Tuesday night's upset primary win over Rep. And as the insurgent tea party nominee gains a greater national profile, she'll also be drawing greater scrutiny.

"It's long, tedious job with lots of meticulous tasks," said J. Michael Hennigan, an attorney representing the archdiocese. "We move forward as fast as we move forward."

Faith-Healing Couple Facing Manslaughter Charges

Oregon: Dale and Shannon Hickman were arraigned Monday on charges of second-degree manslaughter in the death of their baby. Their trial is scheduled to begin Nov. 19 at the Clackamas County Courthouse.

The Hickmans are the third couple identified as members of the Followers of Christ Church to face criminal charges in the death of a child during the past two years. The church shuns professional medical help in favor of prayer and anointing the sick with oil.
