Richard F. Stika, bishop of the Diocese of Knoxville, conveyed Casey’s acknowledgment of an accusation presented by Warren Tucker during a press conference Thursday, April 15. Tucker, 44, said Casey abused him from about 1975-1980, starting when he was 10 years old.

  1. Hate to burst your bubble Joe but you were put on earth to know , love and serve God!

  2. If only such efforts to expose sex abuse crimes would extend to the general public, and not be segregated to the religious realm, we might actually make some headway on ending this terrible epidemic that affects 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 7 boys by the time they are 18 years old. Far more brothers,Uncles, Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, live-in boy friends, Mothers, sisters, cousins and neighbors sexually abuse children than do priests or pastors. And I'll wager far more get shuffled away, and quieted down and not reported nor prosecuted than those in the churches.
