Where reason ends, religion begins
I used to know Bill Curtin well ... attended a church he pastored and he officiated at my wedding. I don't believe he would do this. I guess your piling on him while he's accused but not proven guilty makes you a blogging douchebag.
He was guilty according to the District Superintendent. They let him off with a 5 year probation and he is preaching now at the same two Churches. The policewoman was wearing a wire so they have indisputable proof he was guilty but he got 5 years probation because this was the first time he was caught.
Thanks for the update.Joe
I went to his Church so I know firsthand.
I know Bill as well, and he has always been a wonderful person. Officated my wedding too. Ministers, pastors etc....whatever your profession...we are all human and make mistakes. No one can cast the first stone unless you are sinless. Seems like "the world" loves to come down harder on people who stand for and speak out about God and the misconception is there is no perfection....regular people loving a God of grace and trying to make it in this crazy world with some hope. But here's a new flash! Nobody is flawless ....we all fall short and are faulty. How about we pray for our brother to rise above this time of weakness and become stronger in his faith than ever! I pray his family recovers and forgives and he glorifies God thru this experience. Let's help eachother people!
Amen my man. I dont know him or you, but I will surely pray for this Mr Curtin fellow and his family. lets not us too fall victim to sins plague of asking the lord to ignite the guy sitting next to us. But ask that we too are given mercy. Lord, have mercy on me! We need grace every hour, every day.Interesting how worldly folks say, "the church is full of hypocrites", "live and let live!". Only they are the last ones to ever "live and let live".By the way, the church is full of hypocrites. But we've got room for one more :)
Prayer, yes. Returning him to pulpits: corruption.Sincerely,A lifelong lover of Jesus who is sick of tired of pastors being scumbags, perverts and thieves.
