Louisiana: A Shreveport teenager thought walking to school in the rain was a bad way to start the day. A church’s van pulling up to offer a ride seemed like a ray of hope.
The unidentified boy accepted a ride from the driver of New Beginnings Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church’s van. The driver soon pulled a gun and kidnapped the boy, taking him to church instead of school. They weren’t going to pray.
The man, 34-year-old Robert James Washington, Jr., a church volunteer, directed the 15-year-old boy into the pastor’s study. There, he ordered the teen to strip and raped him. Once satisfied, Washington drove the boy to school.
