Priest Admits To Sexual Indiscretion During Exorcism

Father Thomas Euteneuer made the confession after a wave of online debate about his sudden departure from his post of president of an anti-abortion group.

He abruptly departed the Human Life International in August of last year, and had maintained a silence over his reasons for stepping down ever since.

The mystery provoked a wave of speculation on the internet about why the priest, described by some as a 'rock star' of the pro-life movement, might have stepped down. The speculation finally forced the priest to break his five months of silence over his resignation from HLI. He admitted to a sexual indiscretion while performing an exorcism.

He then admitted that 'one particularly complex situation clouded my judgment and led me to imprudent decisions with harmful consequences, the worst of which was violating the boundaries of chastity with an adult female who was under my spiritual care.'

  4. While the negative comments are understandable, they serve no purpose and only inflate the egos of those who unwisely choose to gloat over the sins of others. He fell from grace; he has publicly admitted it (something which very few men would dare to do); move on and know that each of us can fall in a similar fashion. Godspeed :)

  5. He did what all Christian priests do.

  6. In India, a lot of Hindu priests go through this 'imprudent' decision making. Worlds apart, but see how these god-men are theologically in sync with each other.

  7. So this priest who condemns others for not following his religion's rules, and would persecute them for it, violates his own rules. Why all the fuss? Isn't this normal behaviour for priests?
