Youth Minister Convicted Of Sex Abuse

Kentucky: A jury has convicted a former youth minister in western Kentucky of felony sex abuse.

The Messenger-Inquirer reports the jury recommended a one-year sentence for 24-year-old Jacob Conder, a former minister at Wing Avenue Baptist Church and a former deputy constable in Daviess County. He also will be required to register as a sex offender.

The abuse involved a 15-year-old girl and occurred during a mission trip to Letcher County in eastern Kentucky.

Conder is scheduled for trial in Daviess Circuit Court in January on four similar charges.
