Pastor J.P. Hale Sentenced To Six Years In Prison

Virginia: A former Pulaski County pastor is headed to prison, after being sentenced on multiple charges involving sex crimes against children.

A Pulaski County judge on Friday sentenced 74-year-old J.P. Hale to more than six years in prison on seven counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, and six counts of non-forcible sodomy. Hale could have been sentenced to serve 26 years in prison, however the judge chose to suspend all but six years and four months.

Court records show the incidents began in December of 2003, and went through November of 2009. Hale pled no contest to the charges.
